The Yellow Jackets come into Bob Lewis Stadium on Friday leading region 14 in Harbin points, which are used to determine playoff teams in Ohio. A big win on Homecoming night this Friday will be exactly what the Cowboys need to bounce back from two tough losses early in the season and get back above .500.
Cowboys RB Terrell Dailey had a monster game last week, racking up 310 rushing yards and 3 TDs. A good ground game this Friday will certainly take pressure off QB Will Marty, who had himself a huge rushing game as well, going for 182 yards and 2 TDs. The Cowboys shied away from their passing game against the Mustangs, only attempting 5 passes to the 57 rushing attempts. The ground game paid off however, and will have to work in tandem with the passing game against the Yellow Jackets, who are extremely weak against the pass.
The Taylor offense is led by RB Koty Kendall, who leads Taylor in offensive yards with 437, and in TDs with 5. The Yellow Jackets are shaky at the QB position, with JR Nick Koehne passing for only 278 yards all year. Shutting down Kendall will be the most important job for the Wyoming D as they look to hand Taylor their first loss of the year. They'll have to repeat the defensive success of last week, where they forced 3 turnovers and held the Mustangs to 325 yards and 3 scores.
