WYOMING COWBOYS (2-2)                        READING BLUE DEVILS (2-2)

HOMECOMING WEEK

One week in autumn, Wyoming High School students go from mad in their support of their Cowboys, to downright fanatic. This one week in autumn, every day the students dress up with a different theme, starting with ugly sweater day, and going on to fancy and nerd day. This one week in autumn, the four high school classes have a contest to see who can make the best parade float. They work all week building up till Friday night, when they parade the floats down Main St. for all to see. The winner is chosen by judges, so the classes battle it out for superiority before uniting to form one monstrous student section to cheer on the Cowboys to victory. This week in Autumn is, of course, Homecoming Week. And being a freshman, I, too, was drawn into the action and had to push back the publishing of this entry to tonight. Your patience is greatly accepted.

On this 2012 Homecoming night, Wyoming looks to gain the edge over the Reading Blue Devils (2-2) in the CHL standings. Both the Devils and the Cowboys are currently tied for 2nd place in the league behind Madeira (3-1) who the Cowboys will face in their final regular season game. This game against Reading, however, should come up all roses for Cowboy fans. This Reading team has wins over lowly Deer Park and Roger Bacon, two teams with one win between them. With Wyoming's offense looking to put big numbers on the board again after last week's 391 total yards of offense only yielded 18 points. Quarterback Will Marty will look to break 1,000 passing yards only 4 games into the season, and Sr. Wide Receiver Ben Kurtz looks to move into first place in CHL receiving yards. The Wyoming Defense will need to hold back the reading offense, however, as the Cowboys have allowed 109 points all year.

After this one week in Autumn is over, the Cowboys will move into the 2nd half of the season with hopes of catching Madeira and wearing the CHL crown.
