Wyoming - 51 Reading - 0
On Friday, the Cowboys let the Blue Devils have it at home to bring in a big win for Homecoming. The Cowboys drubbing of Reading marks the last shutout at Bob Lewis since last year against Deer Park. In a game that got off the ground quickly, Wyoming controlled the tempo from the very beginning, stopping Reading's offense and scoring very quickly and often. After about midway through the 3rd quarter, Coach Hancock pulled the starters and let the backups get some time, allowing freshmen to join their classmate Eric Perry, who has started at right guard all season.
The high powered Cowboy offense looked as good as it has all season on the Blue Devils, racking up 380 total yards of offense. Running back Terrell Dailey accounted for 113 of these yards along with his career high 4 TDs. Will Marty also had a solid game a QB, going 11 for 18 with160 yards and 0 ints.
The real story of this game however was Wyoming's D, which stifled the Devils offense to only 89 yards total. They also contributed in the scoring, with JR Jalen Fox picking off two of QB Sam Ashbrock's passes, one for an TD, and SO Evan Cramer intercepting one of his own.
Next week, the Cowboys look to continue their win streak in the CHL, at Deer Park on Friday.
